The Dutch government are threatening to take over 3,000 farms

The Dutch government are threatening to take over 3,000 farms unless they adhere to the EU's emissions targets. Despite being the engine room of the Dutch economy, the farmers are being punished by their own government.

Farm lands

The Dutch government is proposing to purchase out up to 3,000 "top polluter" homesteads and major modern polluters trying to lessen alkali and nitrogen oxide emanations that are unlawful under EU regulation.

The nitrogen serve, Christianne van der Wal, said ranchers would be offered over 100 percent of the worth of their homesteads to stop. Interestingly, the public authority has said that constrained buyouts will follow one year from now assuming the intentional measures fall flat.
